ABOUT ME

Dyslexia Portsmouth has a five star rating and is run by Marilyn Dorey, an experienced SpLD Assessor who has an Assessment Practising Certificate. Marilyn undertakes full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia for students at primary (from 7 years of age), secondary, further education & higher education level, including assessments for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) for university students & for adults in the workplace. Marilyn has a thorough, empathetic and personal approach to assessing & is fully committed to continued professional development.

Marilyn is part-time Head of Dyslexia at a local independent school which is accredited by CReSTeD for its learning provision for pupils with Specific Learning Differences. Previously, she worked as an Exam Access Arrangements Assessor for a large local state school & sixth form & has over twenty years teaching experience. Marilyn has worked as an SpLD assessor for British Dyslexia Association & the University of Sussex.
